ADLOCVTIO (ahd-lo-KOO-tee-oh)
means a speech to the
troops, and is the official newsletter of the Twentieth Legion. It is
published
approximately on the Ides of each month: the 15th of March, May, July,
and October, and the 13th of all other months. It is edited, and mostly
written, by Matthew Amt, the Legion Commander, and his long-suffering
wife
Jane Walker usually proofreads it. Submissions are welcome--"research
and
development" articles, event announcements, travel reports, book
reviews,
jokes (reasonably clean), etc.
E-mail subscriptions are free,
just drop me a line at matthew_amt AT yahooo DOT com --please include
your
real name, for the sake of my records! (And PLEASE put something
distinctive in the subject line, such as Adlocvtio, Roman, Legio XX,
etc., or your email may be deleted as spam!)
Another way to keep up with ADLOCVTIO is simply to come back to this
page
each month, shortly after the Ides. Feel free to download and/or
print issues to keep with your own files.
If you think that you have missed an issue, notify the Editor. One way to help assure that you don't miss a single exciting issue is keep him informed if you change your address.
