San Diego to Barcelona, 1203
With the death of Robert, her childer and consort, Prince Willameena
has become colder and more harsh. Some claim it is Ventrue arrogance, but others
wonder if it is fear she is hiding beneath her arrogance.
The Autarkis, former peacekeepers, have been growing with every conclave,
and right the wrongs dealt in the streets, even at the risk of the Prince's
ire. The werewolves howl for purification of the land. The Holy Roman Church
begins its inquisition to root out the "Devil's Servants". Thus, the surviving
Kindred struggle to bring order out of chaos, with the threat of jyhad ever
present from Kindred Society and yet dealing with the wars of the Reconquista
for the Holy Land crumbling the mortal world around them.
The Scenario:
Barcelona, the jewel of Christian
Iberia on the Meditteranean, stands a city engulfed in a shadowy war. The
Lasombra seek to regain their ancestral domain, as the other clans struggle for
dominance. The Church has summoned the Benedictine order inquisitors, and the
Knights Templar to reveal and
eradicate the minions of Lucifer who plague the city with their infernal presence.
The once beautiful forests surrounding the city have become dangerous hunting
grounds, inhabited by tribes of Garou who have, in the past, viciously executed
those who dared trespass. Dangerous times make for strange allies, and there is
a newly-established treaty between Garou and Kindred, but the peace is a fragile
one.
Now the remaining Kindred must learn to survive without the benefit of their
elder's advice and counsel in a city torn between wars of the ephemeral and
mortal worlds.
Beneath all of this burns the fiery corruption that the Baali have ignited
in the hearts and souls of every living creature in Barcelona.
