The Ruzicians hail from the Empire in the northern reaches of the continent of Alasia, a country that is considered the center of culture and learning in the west. The Falcon's Wing, an imperial frigate, left the ports of the Ruzician Empire in 2000 on its way to the Garandi-held Dragon Isle on a diplomatic mission, allowed to sail the ocean by the Garandi due to the recent Treaty, when the Storm took it. Only three crewmembers survived the Shipwreck to find themselves trapped on the Island.

The Empire was among the first to feel the sting of the Garandi Invasion, when the Clan of Water took the Dragon Isle and four months later, the Clan of Fire invaded the Empire directly. Perhaps that is the reason why some of the Ruzicians on the island have barely been able to put aside their hostilities with the Garandi. Certainly, among all the Shipwrecked, the tensions are greatest between the Ruzicians and the Garandi, such that

many have feared that the hostility between them will tear apart what little union the Shipwrecked have gained.

Tariq is the one among the Ruzicians who tries to keep the peace between they and the Garandi. Perhaps it is due to his curiosity, and his desire for understanding: he tries to comprehend why the Garandi see things as they do, and in turn, tries to make them see why the Ruzicians believe as they do. He is leader of the Ruzicians, and a Mage of no small skill. More recently, he was transformed into a powerful undead after his life was lost in battle. Kanoa is a servant of Zerinus. The storm-demon bound to him is his strength, but he often despairs as he must fight his fallen brethren. He is quick to find joy as well: the Island has tempered both him and his unreasoning hatred for the Garandi.

Rajashar al-Kadir
is a master of the Tarot, as well as the magicks of his Goddess, Rhianna. Though his distaste for the Garandi is apparent, still he has made some concessions to ensure the survival of all on this island.

Ra'id, a warrior and Paladin, feels keenly the loss of the other Ruzicians in the shipwreck, and holds himself to blame for the death of his men. Because of this he often acts rashly, and throws himself into the midst of any battle that presents itself to him.

Zaiyiran is not from the Empire but rather from the Great Desert. A Paladin of Sol and a Cadessa, her ways are vastly different than the Ruzicians. Originally sent to speak before the Sokuze of the Garandi, she has a curiosity for their ways, so that her people and theirs may come to an understanding of one another. She has since disappeared on the island, and none know what her fate may be.
