The followers of Spider were once afraid of the fortress where the Shipwrecked have taken refuge, giving the Shipwrecked a sanctuary, but since Forgefist removed his protections from the Stockade, the Spider Tribes now attack often and in force. Their strength and numbers have also grown, especially now that they have a truce with the Serpent Tribes, and giant spiders and other creatures have been seen among their ranks.

The Shipwrecked, however, are not afraid of the Spider followers, though many harbor fear of the Dark God who is Spider (though, despite the dream wherein Spider was revealed to be Talos, there is some debate among the Shipwrecked as to whether Spider and Talos are truly one and the same).

The Shipwrecked are divided on their purpose here on the island, whether to keep Spider in his prison, or destroy him once and for all.
